The children's centre team are consulting with parents in Goole and surrounding villages, on what services they would like to see developed. The services will be available both within the centre and through outreach in the villages and activities will increase over the next few months.
The centre will be able to offer general drop ins, health services, training, healthy eating sessions, baby clubs, breast feeding groups, parent and toddler groups and any other services which parents identify as being important to them.
All parents and children are welcome to come into the centre, which holds a variety of useful information either on leaflets or by accessing the web.
Children's Centres are at the heart of the government's vision to transform the effectiveness of children's services. Kingsway is one of the first centres in the East Riding, which has a target to develop 10 more centres over the 2006 to 2008 period.
