Where did ELFS come from?
E.L.F.S began as a project that was piloted in Kingsway Primary School and Marshlands School in Goole. Standards Fund money supported the training and time for two teaching assistants, enabling both of them to develop the model and materials to promote better inclusive practice for groups of children. The Materials for the initial training pack were prepared by the schools educational psychologist.
The ELFS Project was included in on one of the areas of ‘outstanding practice' noted in the schools Ofsted report in July 2004.
